Our Café offers adults with a range of abilities the opportunity to receive supported work experience. Each member of our team undertakes continuous on-the-job training and tuition in customer service, food safety and food preparation.
As part of our Community mission for people to reach their full potential we work closely with our bakery, garden and land-craft workshops. We wish to develop this further by providing additional teaching support and a shared work experience within the workshops with the aim to maximise the use of our garden produce and bakery products within the Café menu offer.
We include products grown and produced in our gardens and bakery in our menu, meaning we can give you the freshest organic produce available. Not only helping improve your well being, but also helping support our charity and supporting local business, and adding a real sense of purpose and achievement to the workshops we run and the residents within them.
Brunch 10 – 11:30am – we serve freshly made brunch and baked goods.
Lunch 12noon – 2pm – we offer Today’s Specials, including pasta, potato salad, or sweet potato tagine, sandwiches and toasties, seasonal soup of the day, jacket potatoes and our ‘House Salad’ – using our own Camphill Café creativity, and a little poetic license. This dish incorporates the best of the season, accompanied by fresh breads from our bakery with a range of homemade pates, dressings, dips and chutney, fine cheeses or eggs. Or seasonal vegan and vegetarian hot soups again accompanied by fresh bread from our bakery.
We are offering a larger range of baked products both sweet and savory with a selection of hot and cold beverages throughout the day.
