  • Salary: £9.50 per hour
  • Contract: Different contracts & posts available: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

  • 1 x 3 days per week – Craft and Textile Workshop (Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri)
  • 1 x Newsletter & IT Workshop (Thursday & Friday)

About Us:

Camphill Milton Keynes Communities is a charity providing unique person centred support, based on a modern view of the Camphill movement, for adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum condition, as well as a number of people living in the Milton Keynes area who have a learning disability.

We support people in all aspects of their daily lives and believe that each person should be valued for their contribution to the community. Our Day Opportunities play a key role in enabling people to achieve their goals and aspirations through lifelong learning, person centred support planning and their on-going development. They gain skills through support in a variety of therapeutic activities that contribute to the Community and individual personal development. 

About the Role:

We are seeking Support Workers with a passion and experience in a range of hand craft, pottery, art and textile making activities; or teaching drama, IT and literacy skills. You will be required to support Day Opportunities workshops for adults with learning disabilities, within our Textiles Studio, Pottery, Drama or Newsletter/ IT workshops.

About you:

We need people who are good at listening, love to learn and who are flexible. 

You will have a positive and sensitive approach to supporting people with activities and enjoy helping people learn and explore new things.

Experience and passion for teaching art, craft, pottery, textile, drama or IT & literacy skills would be an advantage. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with adults with a range of abilities.

You do not need any qualifications as a full induction plus professional training will be provided.

The most important thing is a caring attitude, genuine interest in people and willingness to work in accordance with our Mission and Vision Statement.
